Wedges

If you’re shopping for wedges, you’ll notice that we have two large racks dedicated solely to wedges. Our most popular wedges are available in several lofts and bounces. Don’t know much about wedge bounce? Well, that’s where one of our experts will enjoy taking the time to educate you on the finer points of selecting the right wedge for right reasons.

Irons

We carry all of the most popular sets of irons from Mizuno to TaylorMade to Titleist to Ping to Callaway and more. And, if we don’t have the perfect set for you in stock, it's only a matter of days for us to get you the set you want thanks to the fact that we are located so close to the major manufacturers in southern California.

In fact, 70-80% of the time we end up ordering custom-built iron sets for our customers, but our showroom has a complete line of standard iron sets, always in stock, always ready for you to browse and swing! It’s fun to shop for irons at Golf Etc. Most likely you’ll find the clubs that are just right for you, and there’s no way you won’t leave better informed.

Shafts

Because we are club fitters and club builders, we compliment our golf club offerings with a great lineup of shafts to help you improve your game. You may come to learn that a new shaft can improve your performance more quickly vs. using the stock shaft that came directly from the manufacturer. We understand shaft technology from manufacturing through installation, and have the technology, inventory and staff to fit you correctly to a shaft that will match your unique swing characteristics. Although we carry a good selection of quality shafts, we specialize in Fujikura shafts and rank in the top 50 resellers in the United States. This distinction as a top Fujikura Charter Dealer is further testimony to our custom club building and club fitting skills.

Putters

Are you one of the many golfers searching for that perfect putting stroke and think that the secret’s going to be found in a new putter? One of the first things we had built in the shop was a new indoor putting green, complete with some tough breaks to test out your putting skills. We carry many models from the most popular putter manufacturers—for example, Odyssey and Ping—and since we understand how personal and individual putting can be, we’ve expanded our inventory to include a lot of other putters for you to try. These include everything from what you’ll see on televised golf (YES!, Guerrin Rife) to others that you may remember playing when you were a kid or remember your Dad playing (Ray Cook). We’ve got all of the different length putters, from standard to belly, and if you want a custom length: No problem. We’ll cut it or extend it and re-grip it for you – all while you wait! And, if you’re looking for those custom-made, top-of-the-line putters for your game, we also have a complete line of precision putters available for you to choose from, including several models from Scotty Cameron, Mizuno/Bettinardi, the Ping Redwoods, Callaway Black and many others. Box Sets & “Experienced” Clubs

To help you with you game, we also understand that budget is often a key consideration in your decision-making process. In an effort to address everyone’s budget, we provide many kinds of opportunities to help you to save money. We only sell products that we test ourselves, here in the shop. We offer box sets (complete starter sets, mostly for the new golfer), “experienced” clubs (clubs that were “pre-owned”) or products from lesser-known companies that we’ve found to offer quality clubs at discounted pricing. And remember, since we’re club builders, we can always custom build a set for you, using inexpensive components, and fit you with clubs to match your budget!

Don’t forget to ask us about our trade-in program. This is yet another way we can help you “trade-up” as we’ll give you credit for your older clubs towards the purchase of your new clubs.

Golf Shoes

We’ve doubled our golf shoe offering in the past year, bringing in a nice line of golf shoes for juniors and women, all to compliment our great offering for men. Footjoy clearly dominates the market share for golf shoes, and so you’ll find quite a large selection of Footjoy shoes, and socks, for you to try on. We like to encourage you to “test” your new shoes out while swinging a club in our fitting area, or suggest that you to try making a few putts on our indoor putting green.

In addition to Footjoy, we also carry several other lines of golf shoes. We stock Nike, Adidas, Bite, and will add other lines during the year. In 2007, we featured Sandbaggers for women, and had a popular selection of golf shoes from Oakley. And, we’ve recently decided on a new plan to expand our shoe area.

Golf Bags

We stock a great selection of golf bags. If you’re a “walker”, we have many ultra-light bags with the latest in stand technology. Our current favorites are the 3.5 lb bags from Titleist, Ping, Mizuno and Sun Mountain. But if you play most of your golf with a golf cart, you’ll also find all of the best selling cart bags. We’ll help you find the best bag, for the right reason. Our golf bag inventory is a continuing work in progress as we identify more great new products for you. We carry several options for travel bags as well, including both hard & soft case bags, bags that roll on casters and bags that fold up for easy storage. Our travel bag selection features both the SKB hard cases and the best selling Club Glove travel bags that the pros use, and we also offer some discount/price-point options from Bagboy.

Golf Pull Carts

We carry the best pull carts available at a variety of styles and prices. Some carts fold much better than others, some are smaller than others, while others fit nicely into a small storage area. And if you don’t see it, tell us. We’re always interested in finding out more about the products our customers have seen and recommend.

Golf Gloves

Our inventory of golf gloves is huge. We stock regular and cadet sizes, gloves for lefties and righties, all of the sizes imaginable (yep, some XXL’s too), all of the name brands, styles that accommodate rings and nails and styles that allow you to tan while playing or gloves that give you the best gripping available when it rains. Basically, we have a great selection of gloves for to try on; which is something that we like to suggest to you when you come in for a glove.

Eyewear

We stock two quality lines of golf eyewear, Oakley’s and Callaway, in addition to some discount price options. What we like to do is have you try on the eyewear outside, giving you an opportunity to see how the lens works in the sun. If you already know which lens you want, then it’s all about style, and we have a lot to choose from. Some experts believe that you can’t read greens properly with polarized lenses, so we carry a selection of non-polarized glasses.

Hats

As with everything we stock, we have many styles of headwear to protect you from the sun while enjoying your golf game. We carry a lot of the traditional baseball cap designs, with many from the top golf manufacturers that showcase their logos and products. Some of the caps, like the Titleist caps, have built-in magnets in the brim for securing a ball marker. If you like the idea of the magnet ball markers but don’t want the cap, we have a great selection of ball markers that simply clips onto your own cap. But since we’ve grown up hearing about the danger from too much sun, we also have a great line of headwear that provides a lot more protection. We carry wide brimmed hats, bucket style hats and some that look like they’re from the Australian Outback.

Junior Golf Clubs

We’ve witnessed a huge demand for junior clubs lately, so we’ve expanded our offering and focus on the box sets and individual clubs from US KIDS. Everything that we sell is first tested by our staff and the staff really was blown away with the new “Tour” series from US KIDS. The driver is not pop metal like you’d find in many junior sets. Its titanium and was designed for the junior who’s excelling in the game and needs a little more from their clubs. We’re really “kid-friendly” here (and parent-friendly too!), and we like seeing our juniors take up the game. Our staff can also recommend local pros who we think are great with kids.

Golf Books, Videos & Gifts

Don’t miss the book shelf in the shop. It’s loaded with videos, books and gift items that we’ve hand selected. Our staff will recommend a good gag gift, or serious gift, and will take the time with you to suggest a good golf book. If you haven’t read Hogan’s 5 Fundamentals, for example, check it out and you’ll see why it’s lasted the test of time. We have some coffee table style books and great artwork for your walls. And as we get closer to the holidays, you’ll tend to notice new items cropping up in the shop.

General Apparel

One of the very first things you’ll notice about our shop when you walk in the front door is that we carry a lot of “other” stuff. We have a truly wonderful clothes selection (for men, women and children), and offer just about every type of golf accessory and golf apparel item you could imagine. If we don’t have it, just ask for it, and we’ll find it.

We pride ourselves on our apparel selection (and constantly thank our professional buyer who knows what she’s doing). It’s our goal to keep our line “fresh” with new shipments throughout the month. Our line has a lot of great, high-end quality, brand name clothes, but we try to have additional items at price points that meet a variety of budgets. A steady flow of newly arriving apparel allows us to regularly rotate our inventory onto our two “rounder” sale racks, providing another excellent “value” opportunity for our customers.

You’ll notice that we have all the brand names you’ve come to associate with great golf gear; but, you may be surprised to find several brand names that are new to you as well. We carry all of the usual suspects – Nike, Ashworth, Adidas, Callaway, Cutter & Buck, IZOD, Greg Norman and many others, but we also dedicate a lot of our time, including time spent at the annual trade shows (including the biggest & best of the shows - the PGA Merchandise show in Orlando) searching for and finding the best selections for our customers.

Although we enjoy great golf weather most of the year here in beautiful southern California, we do get some “winter” weather from time to time. Plus, a lot of our customers travel as well. So, to that end, you’ll find everything from vests to wind shirts to several different qualities of foul weather gear.

Women’s Apparel

When we first opened, we were “warned away” from creating an attractive line for ladies. We were told that the apparel business for women was just “too tough” and women shoppers were a “tough sell”. Well, looking back, we’re glad we listened to our customers. More and more women golfers are finding out about our apparel strategy and offering. Our buyer is a woman and she knows her stuff. Our strategy is to keep our line fresh and current, with new arrivals coming in frequently. We never load up on any one particular style, and avoid buying huge quantities of anything. Our lady customers have helped us to shape our line, and our custom order business is growing. Designer lines such as Jamie Sadock, Sport Haley, Titania, Tail and many others adorn our displays.
